Uh oh! It’s 5:42 in the morning in our time. I’m almost out of here! I will be off by 6 o’clock in the morning and I only have few minutes left. I’m so excited because I want to jump on to my bed now because of my headache.
Whew! I can’t wait. Haha!
Oh, my bed, here I come! Haha!
Hi everyone!
I have something new to tell you.
I heard a song a few days ago that really captured my attention. I listened very well and internalized its message. It tells a story of a guy who loves someone who’s never meant for him. He is madly in love with the girl and he wants to get over her but he can’t, since he can’t take her off his mind. The song is called “Faraway From Me” because he wants the girl to be far away from him so he can get rid of her.
And before I forget, the band who composed and sang that song is a fellow Cebuano. The band is also from Cebu, Philippines and I am so proud of the members’ talents, their work of art. They named themselves the “Soulstring”.
If you are interested to listen to the song I am talking about, just search it on Youtube.com. I hope you will also appreciate it like I do.
God bless! mwahh…
Good day to all!
Again, I’m on a graveyard shift today. I had so many patients today so I never felt bored and dozy during my entire 12-hour duty. But sad to say, at around 3 o’clock in the morning in our time my headache really disturbed me. Though it is my duty as the company nurse to give medications to the sick employees, I did not take any pain relievers because I don’t want my body to tolerate any medication. I just want to strengthen my pain threshold or my pain tolerance by just having non-pharmacologic interventions like distraction. Distraction is simply diverting the attention of a person who is experiencing pain or depression. So what I did were I went to the pantry and ate a heavy meal of rice and fried pork, I finished encoding the employee’s files, I edited and updated my Friendster account just to divert my attention, and I also made this blog since I’m done with my tasks at this time already.
The pain is still there but somehow, I felt a lot better now.
